Visiting and using the word studio

This website does not require reader accounts. The word studio does not ask for a child’s name, record spoken audio, request microphone access, or send practice answers to the server. Its current word selection exists only in the page while it is open. There are no public comments, child profiles, advertising SDKs, behavioural analytics, or marketing trackers.

Hosting and technical records

Google Cloud hosts the website, articles, and uploaded public images. When you request a page, the hosting infrastructure processes connection and request information, which can include IP address, time, browser or user-agent information, requested URL, and response status. Infrastructure logs are used for operating, troubleshooting, and securing the service. Do not put personal information in search terms or URLs.

Technical processing may occur outside Australia, including in the United States where the application, database, and media bucket are configured. Google’s service records and retention are governed by the applicable Google service configuration and terms; this notice does not promise a fixed deletion period for infrastructure logs.

Necessary publisher cookies

The publishing area uses an essential __session cookie for signed-in access and form security. The login form creates a session cookie before sign-in; a publisher login session expires after eight hours and can be ended with Sign out. Ordinary browsing and word practice do not need a visitor cookie. No advertising or analytics cookies are installed by this app.

Failed publisher login attempts are rate-limited. A keyed hash of the connection IP is stored with an attempt count and time. It does not include passwords. Old records can remain in the database until maintenance removes them; stale records do not continue to block sign-in.

Email and support

If you email us, your address and message are handled by your email provider and ours to respond to the request. Send only what is necessary. Please do not send a child’s recordings, passwords, payment-card information, or identity documents. Support correspondence may be retained for handling the request and maintaining appropriate business records.

Links to Google Play, research resources, and other websites take you to services with their own privacy policies. This website does not embed their tracking scripts. Opening a link means the destination receives your connection information.
