CLARITY FOR GROWN-UPS
LittleLeaf Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 October 2026
Applies to the initial Android release of LittleLeaf: Kids Reading, package com.littleleaf.reading, published by Morgan Hughes / Sly Realms Learning.
About LittleLeaf
LittleLeaf is a children's reading app intended for ages 3–12, with guidance from parents and carers. This policy explains the data practices of the initial release. It includes ten free stories. Subscriptions are not available in this release.
Information stored on your device
The app stores reader nicknames, selected age bands, profile avatars, saved books, page bookmarks, completed stories, completion counts, reading dates and local settings on the device. Parents can create up to four profiles. You may use a nickname instead of a child's real name. These records are not uploaded to us and do not sync between devices. Android app backup is disabled.
Collection and sharing
We do not operate a server that collects personal information from the app. The app has no advertising, behavioural analytics, social features or child account registration. It does not request location, microphone, camera or contacts permissions. Story text and artwork are bundled in the app.
Read-aloud
Read-aloud sends the current story page's text to the text-to-speech engine selected on your Android device. Some engines or voices may use a network service under their own privacy policies. The app does not send reader nicknames or reading histories to the speech engine and does not record audio. Parents can choose a downloaded English voice in Android settings for offline narration.
Google Play and future subscriptions
Google Play handles app distribution and its own account, security and diagnostic data under Google's policies. A RevenueCat purchase integration is included but is not configured or initialised in this release, and the app cannot make purchases. Before subscriptions are enabled, this policy and the Google Play data-safety declarations must be updated to explain purchase verification and any information processed by Google Play and RevenueCat.
Deleting local information
A parent or carer can open the grown-ups' corner, complete the arithmetic check, select Privacy & settings, and choose Erase local reading data. Individual profiles can also be deleted in Little readers. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling removes local reading records. The arithmetic check helps keep family controls out of little hands; it is not identity verification.
Children's privacy
LittleLeaf does not ask children to provide contact information, create an online account, upload content or communicate with other users. Family controls are intended for adults. If you contact support, avoid including a child's personal information.
Support messages
If an adult contacts us by email, we receive their email address and the information they choose to send. We use it to answer the request and retain correspondence only as needed for support and applicable obligations. This occurs outside the app. You can ask us to delete support correspondence by contacting the address below.
Changes and contact
We will update this policy when the app's data practices change. For privacy questions or support, contact Morgan Hughes / Sly Realms Learning at slyrealms@gmail.com.
